In Judaism, special powers may reflect the divine gifts that God has bestowed upon each of us — such as the power of blessing and the ability to repair the world. According to tradition, fear can arise when there is a sense of loss of control, but using one's powers for good emphasizes the principles of loving-kindness (chesed), tikkun (repair), and benevolent intent.
